THE TEAR

Round and wet, salty and deep
From the corner of my eyes you sadly creep
Wet and moist, bitter and sweet
From the corner of my eyes you sadly seep

Full of hungerness and rage, full of love
Like tiny raindrops falling down from above
My tears run forth like a river of pain
My mind trying to hold on, to not go insane

From the heart to the eyes come forth my tears
Heightened emotions, just too much to bear
Though the load it lessens with each little drop
Such that I don’t want my tears to stop

Calm and serene, over it is done
The load has lessened, in fact it has gone
My tears I do thank for keeping me sane
Helping me over my multitude of pain
And next time I feel the sorrow can build
I’ll let out my tears if your shoulders not filled

I haven’t written any poetry since a few centuries ago, in high school, but I will say that this is one of the most enjoyable pieces that I’ve ever read.

Thank you James. I think it is the best I have written when it comes to poetry.
